Triage Co-Chair 2019-2020
Hi! My name is Olivia Darby and I am a senior Biology major with a minor in Nutrition and Food Studies from Charleston, West Virginia.
I first travelled to Nicaragua as a freshman with Global Brigades. This experience opened my eyes to global health disparates and solidified my choice to enter the healthcare field. After traveling once more to Nicaragua and then to Ghana, I developed a passion for rural medicine and the holistic model that Global Brigades implements. Each time I travel with brigades, I return home with a new perspective of both the world and my own life. Every trip has shaped my future career goals, challenged my views on healthcare, and changed my life. I am so excited for the upcoming year with this incredible organization.
