My name is Nika Tabidze

I am a filmmaker and photographer from West Virginia, with a background rooted in documentary storytelling and human-centered visual work. I previously served as a multimedia specialist for WVU Global Medical and Dental Brigades. I hold an undergraduate degree in biology and a master’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University. Today, I own and operate RiTE Media, a production company specializing in storytelling and emerging technology, where I collaborate with global brands, institutions, and creative talent to craft visually driven narratives with real-world impact.

As your photographer for WVU’s Global Medical and Dental Brigades, my role is to document more than clinical care. I focus on the relationships formed between patients, volunteers, and local partners, capturing the resilience and trust that emerge from service. My goal is to reflect humanity on both sides of the lens—honoring patients’ stories while illustrating the broader impact of accessible healthcare and global collaboration.

With a professional background as a director and cinematographer, I bring a strong technical foundation to my work, balancing composition, light, and visual clarity with cultural sensitivity and ethical responsibility. Whether documenting a medical consultation, a moment of relief, or the quiet spaces between activity, I prioritize authenticity over intrusion.

This year marks my sixth Brigade.
