Dental Brigades President 2017-2018

Welcome, I'm Aishwarya! I was the Dental Brigades President and I am currently in my fourth year of Medical School at Marshall University.

I joined Brigades three years ago as a freshman because I wanted the experience of shadowing healthcare professionals in rural regions and speaking Spanish with the natives of Nicaragua. Through this experience, I have learned a lot about how I view myself, what I value in life, and how I choose to approach each day. Interacting with people who held an immense appreciation for life changed my perspective on quality. I was able to affirm my passion for pursuing Medicine and discover my voice in speaking out about diversity and inclusion on campus through international exposure. This experience challenged me and how I viewed rural healthcare, and it also introduced me to lifelong friends.
