Hello! My name is Ashley Eby, and I am a senior majoring in Chemistry and Psychology from Wellsburg, West Virginia.

After hearing about the incredible impact that Brigades makes in the local community and abroad, I joined the organization my Sophomore year. I never had the opportunity to travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic; however, the experiences I’ve had as a member and officer in Brigades have been eye-opening. Completing the course associated with Brigades, “Sociology and Health: Honduras” provided valuable insight on the specific healthcare challenges and cultural differences in resource-reduced regions. Additionally, serving at Pantry Plus More in Morgantown gave us the opportunity to apply GMDB’s service orientation locally. I am so excited to travel this year, grow our organization, and make a difference locally and abroad!
