"Hello! My name is Meagan Doherty. I was the Dental Brigades President and am currently completing coursework to be a Physician Assistant.

Global Brigades has provided me with an experience like no other. My sophomore year I had the opportunity to travel to Honduras, where I discovered how deep my passion for helping others is. Being a part of the mission of Global Brigades to empower resource-reduced communities to become healthier and more sustainable has become so important to me. I have learned that health is impacted by so many other factors than just biology and the environment and I know that this perspective will help me become a better health care professional one day. This organization has helped provide me with an outlet for my desire to make the world a more equal place and has brought me several friendships along the way. We are very much looking forward to the impact our chapter can make in 2021!
